Lee County Association of Professional Substitute Teachers

This organization provides the voice for the Substitutes Teachers of Lee County, Florida. The Mission is to provide Pride, and Honor for the Substitute Teachers, and to bring respect to the profession of Substitute Teaching. We are open to all Substitute Teachers in South West Florida, we are not a union and we are a non-profit organization. Our guiding primary principles are to be “The best we can be for the children of Lee County.”

Substitute Teachers Caucus

NEA logoThe Substitute Teachers Caucus advocates within the NEA for organizing substitutes, for improving working conditions, for increasing respect and communication, and for promoting quality public education. We speak up for the substitute members who are represented in local associations in at least fourteen states and for the inclusion of contract language supporting regular classroom teachers by preventing the misuse of substitute teachers. Camden City Interim Teachers Organization – A department of CWA Local 1034 New Jersey

Camden city is the first school district in the state of New Jersey to have unionized substitute teachers with a contract.

Seattle Substitutes Association – A department of the Seattle Education Association

Sub-Port LogoA department of the Seattle Education Association, Seattle Substitutes Association works toward bettering substitute teacher education, rights and responsibilities.

Sub-Port was created as a tool for substitute educators in the Seattle School District. Though some of the information is specifically for Seattle Substitutes, most of it is relevant to anyone concerned/interested in education.

United Substitutes Organization – A department of Madison Teachers Inc.

Oregon Substitute Teachers Association

OSTA logoThe Oregon Substitute Teachers Association is a professional organization of oregon substitute teachers that works hard to raise the image and professionalism of substitute teachers and to gain economic benefits. It’s the only organization working primarily for substitute teachers.
